Yippee! another 365 days have rolled over for me. It's my birthday and am so grateful to God for this opportunity. I'm thankful for the gift of life and divine health. I bask in the fullness of His grace and love. God's love envelopes me and am thankful. His grace found me.
Reflecting into the previous years, the storms I overcame, the challenges, the struggles , the scorching heat that almost consumed me, the tiring motherhood moments, the happy moments, the testimonies, the laughter and all, I can't but thank the maker of life and the giver of all.
Sometimes, I get anxious , thinking and worrying about my future. But come to think of it, this is the future and I feel I still have lots to accomplish and lots that still needs to be done in this life. Not despair because surely I know I will get to God's destination for me.
The heart that gratifies the Lord can never experience sadness or sorrow. I'm thankful that I have grown physically, emotionally, spiritually, more matured, more wiser and more intelligent over the years . My (tank) is so full, and I am thankful.
Are you wondering why am super emphasizing on being thankful? Are you thinking life is a bed of roses for me? Absolutely not! Life they say is not a bed of roses and that is infact, so real! I am one of those individuals who wants to focus my attention and energy on the positive things in my life and not give room to negativity.
Even research shows that those that are grateful and thankful are much more happier than those who don't. And the feelings of gratitude may possess both mental and physical health benefits. Yes, True! Happiness is free and it comes within you. Yes, You! And not ANYONE ELSE.

Tne strategy that has helped me over the years is counting my blessings, just as the Bible says and I know He has done so much for me that i cannot even tell IT all. Believe me! You think it's easy for me say? No! But you have a choice to choose positivity and remain positive or choose otherwise.
Occasionally, I ike to write at least 3 things that makes me happy at the end of each day and dwell over them . Analysing each activity releases some Serotonins and endorphins ( Happy hormones), the more the hormones present, the happier I am. Does that sound weird? *Lol*. This strategy has kept me going and happy rather than crying or getting moody over the ones that didn't go well. If daily task are overwhelming, I just push it to do weekly. My point - CHOOSE happiness
The act of gratitude, showing appreciation makes me feel good about myself. Sometimes I wonder if showing gratitude is a skill because I realize it's not everyone that knows how to be thankful and this gets me thinking. Ok, even if its a skill, it can still be learnt! right? My thought is, if you can't appreciate and show gratitude to your fellow human being that you can see how much more God that you have not seen. Simple!!!
