Yes!!! Let's start with the tradition! Happy New Year people!
It's been a while in here. Yes and am guilty of being away for so long, the break was well needed. But am back. Yaaay!
Some days ago we crossed over to the year 2020 and I had the opportunity to reflect on the past year- 2019. The past year was actually full of bumps, laughters and challenges. But one thing remained constant in all these situations, and that is, God was and is still very faithful. I felt God in every of the valleys I was stuck. I was nurtured and taught by God Himself. All these lessons God taught me made me more stronger than I can ever imagine.
I tried to ignore this year's resolutions that was flying all over the pages of social media , simply because, most times I end up not doing most things I have planned.
But, in the midst of this new year's festivities, my first lesson to my faith children in my church was setting goal and vision for the year. As more as I try to run away from this, it came back to me powerfully and I had to pause and realistically set my goal and vision for the year 2020.
As much as it is important for us to set our goals, it is also important for us to help and teach our children to also set this goals, write it down and stick on their wardrobes, wall space or notebooks. What I mean is, a place where they can easily see it and remember what they themselves have penned down. This will hold them accountable.

Flashback to when I was discussing with my faith children, I realized how important this is for the children as well. As much as they are excited to share what their plan is academically, I was amazed to hear what they have also planned to do for God and their faith.
It's important not to make ambiguous goals and vision. Think carefully and properly plan and set realistic goals. Be specific. It doesn't have to be anything big. Just a little step at a time on anything you put in your mind to do.
In this year 2020, with God's help, I have decided to do better things that I neglected in 2019.
# Moving and walking closer to God.
# Cutting out unproductive things.
# Learning a new skill.
# Learning a new skill.
# Doing what makes me happy
# Be intentional about things that matters to me.
# Learn to say No when necessary.
# Appreciate friends.
# Enjoy life.

What about you? It's never too late to set a new goal for yourself. Be encouraged!
